Afternoon tea, dispensed by the ladies, was much appreciated. The club championships begin next Wednesday, and as the committee wish to draw the first round on Monday, those players who have not entered for all competitions should immediately communicate with the secretary. New Plymouth (Ngamotu) beat Stratford on Thursday by 9 games to 3. New Plymouth had a strong team. For Stratford R<'tchie. who plays first in the team, was unable to play.
