[By Telegraph—Special to Star.] WELLINGTON, July 13. The Customs Department has important powers in dealing with imported goods bearing fraudulent descriptions, and this power is to be rigorously used to protect New Zealand workers and consumers, states Mr Fisher, the Minister of Customs. Clothing goods, marked genuine all through, have been found to contain shoddy material inside; but this class of goods will not, in future, be allowed to come into the country.
