POSITION NOT DANGEROUS

LONDON, s July 12. The P. and 0. Co.'s steamer Persia, which went ashore during a fog at Sausset, near Marseilles, is fast by the bows fifty yards from shore. Her position is not dangerous, and she is not making water.

[The Persia is a vessel of 7974 tons register, and has an indicated horsepower of 11,000.]
