A VIGOROUS CAMPAIGN

WELINGTON, June 26. At the Dominion Convention of the New Zealand Alliance to-day, it was resolved that No-license Leagues be requested to take steps to secure at least 1.000 voters in each electorate to pledge themselves, regardless of party, not to vote for any Parliamentary candidate who will not pledge himself to support a measure to reduce the three-fifths majority required to carry no-license and dominion prohibition; that this conference recommends the executive to arrange a series of meetings throughout the dominion in order to inaugurate a pledge-signing campaign in regard to voting f#r candidates favorable to reduction of the majoribv required to carry no-license and national prohibition. The convention expressed by a standing vote its sense of loss in "the decease of Mr T. E. Taylor, and its appreciation of his lif© and work; also its sympathy with Mrs Taylor in tb« feerearement she had sustained.
