WAIMATE 111. v. MANUTAHI 111.
Tnis match, which Mas played at Manutahi, was an exciting and interesting game for players and spectators, and resulted in a win for tlie home team; Manutahi, 5; Waimate 3 The play throughout was fast. Manutahi got on some good passing rushes, but the defence of the Waimate backs was sound. Foi- Manutahi a goal was kick°l by P, 1 Brough*on. AVaimate shortly afterwards scored, but failed to convert. When pay was resumed the Waimate players made several desperate attempts, but wero outclassed by the Manutahi forwards. Good play" was shown by some of the Waimate team. Manutahi secured a try by the good play of j'ltzwater. On the whole both team's were evenly matched.
