LISBON TRAM STRIKE.

SERIOUS DISTURBANCES

LISBON, June 22. The tramway strike is becoming increasingly serious. Many attacks have been made on workers, including English mechanics brought from a passing steamer to overhaul the electric machinery. The strike is due to a dislike of foreign companies. The Government has arrested the leaders. The first train ran this evening, escorted by troops. Three bombs were thrown among the crown in Dom Pedro Square. Two people were injured, one fatally.
