WANGANUI CHAMPIONSHIPS

WANGANUI, June 21. The Wanganui district amateur boxing championships were decided to-day. The following are the results of the final bouts :—Feather-weight: Hodgson beat Christian on points. Lightweights : Bond beat Crotty, decision given in the first round. Welterweights: Forbes beat Delahunt, on a knock-out. Middle-weight: Crerar beat Elt, on a knock-out. Heavy-weights: Caldwell beat Gladding, the latter withdrawing on the second round. The medal for the most scientific boxer waa awarded to Jervois.
