Subsequently counsel for the defendant stated that after hearing the •evidence of the plaintiff defendant was >»atisfied that the article complained of •was unjustified, and desired to apologise and withdraw it. By consent there ■would be a verdict for £1000, with yosts, including the costs of the com■Daission in England, for the plaintiff.
