MANUTAHI.

(From a Correspondent.) On Tuesday morning last Mr R. A. Browne, director of the Technical School, Ha»vera, gave a most interesting address at the school here on the subject of top-dressing. There was only a fair attendance of farmers, many who would otherwise have been present being kept at home through illness. MiBrowne handled his subject well, and at the conclusion was asked a number of questions. Mr R. B. Hamilton proposed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Browne for his most instructive address, and said he hoped that Mr Browne would visit vis again. Some experiments in top-dressing are being carried out in connection with the garden-work of the local school, and no doubt they will be watched with interest by the farmers of the district. On Tuesday afternoon Mr Browne gave a demonstration in pruning at Mr Muggeridge's orchard.
