Tbe quarterly summoned meeting of the Loyal Kaponga Lodge Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F., was held in the Lodge room on Monday evening, when there was a large muster of members. G.M. Bro. Hill presided in the unavoidable absence of the N.G. Bro. Mcßeth. Two new members were initiated and one proposed. The election of officers resulted thus: G.M., Bro. W. Mcßeth; N.G., Bro. A. Waugh; V.G., Bro. C. E. Betts; K.S.N.G., Bro. Stevens; L.S.N.G., Bro. J. McLeod; R.S.V.G., Bro. Bethell; L.S.V.G., Bro. Bentley; Warden, Bro. McCarthy (re-elected) ; Guardian, Bro. M. Power; elective secretary, Bro. Robinson.
Messrs Hill, Waugh, Betts, and Robinson thanked the Lodge for the honor conferred on them by their election. The receipts for the evening amounted to £40.
Mr A. E. King is having extensive additions made to his livery stables to meet his increasing business.
