The Government Meteorologist tele•graphed at 12.30 p.m. to-day: South•easterly winds, moderate to strong, veering to easterly, and winds freshening again; weather cool and changeable, -*tnd probably a very cold night; glass, rise slowly, but fall after 36 hours.
