SADLER GETS SEVEN YEARS.

Sadler, convicted of using an instru-r ment for an unlawful purpose, was sen^ tenced to seven years' imprisonment. George "Western was convicted of a similar offence, and sentence was deferred pending a decision on a point raised as to whether the girl's evidence »as corroborated.
DUNE-DIN SESSIONS.
DUNEDIN, May 16. In the Supreme Court to-day iViargai%et Parker was re-tried on a charg-v ok sly-grog selling at St. Kilda, on April: 14. The jury again disagreed. In reply to the Judge the Crown Prosecutor said that he had' pretty well made up his mind what course to adopt, but he would take till the following day to de cide whether he would proceed further with the 'Case;.
