DEBATE IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS. &J CiBLE—T?BESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, May 13. Replying to the Marquis of Tullibardine, Unionist M.P. for Perthshire, Mr Mackenna (Home Secretary) stated that Tom Mann was convicted years aso of diluting beer in a public house of which he was the tenant. Asked whether he would be released, he said that he was considering the shorthand notes, and was unable to reply. Mr Lansbury, Labor member for Bow, was refused leave to .move the adjournment of the House in connection with the Mann debate. Only thirty members supported the application.
