Colonel Bridges, an Australian, visited the chief military schools of 1 ranee, Germany, and Belgium, and was everywhere most cordially assisted. . The death is announced of Captain Loggin, formerly commodore of the if. atThe Mamari has sailed with 600 emigrants for New Sonth Wales, incluclmg 175 carpenters and bricklayers. The vessel carries twenty lifeboats. Mr Coghlan, the Agent-General, inspected > the* accommodation. The late Mr Hoftnung's estate was proved at £89,568. Mr Hoffnung was a merchant in Sydney in the early days.
