WAIMATE I. 28 v. OPUNAKE I. O.
The Wairnate-Opunake senior match on Saturday provided some good football, and was not nearly so one-sided as the scores seem to indicate. The Waimate team treated the spectators to some pretty bouts of passing, mainly through the instrumentality of Colman, while the Opunake forwards did some dashing forward work. The team, however, lacked scoring men. The Waimate team is, I think, better than last year, and if I were asked to take a long" shot I should nominate them as winners of the Cup.
