SIR GEORGE REID ROBBED. LARGE SUM OF MONEY LOST.

LONDON, Jan. 27, Sir George Reid has suffered a serious loss. :. .

v He was on his" way back to London from the Continent, when some members of the light-fingered fraternity relieved him of his pocket-book.

The wallet contained a considerable sum of money, but Sir George is more concerned about the loss of a number of private documents, some of which were of a very important character. .

Sir Georgo had been paying a weekend visit to the Continent, and was returning to London for a conference with representatives of the London County Council regarding the Strand site for the new Commonwealth offices.
