Mr H. B. Irving, the Shakespearean actor, now in New Zealand, is an English barrister.
Miss H. F. Gibson, late assistant teacher at Silverhope, has been promoted to the position of infant mistress at the Mangatoki school.
Mr A. F. Larcombe, of Patea, who finished his Training College course last year, has been appointed as second assistant at the Okaiawa School. He took up his new duties on Monday.
