At his meeting at Inglewood on Monday night Sir Joseph Ward mentioned that the capital value of Taranaki during his term as Prime Minister had increased by £4,958,000, the area under cultivation being 114,000 acres; horses and cattle (including 9000 more dairy cows) by 35,000; sheep by 72,000, the total population by 8170, butter exports by £22,411, cheese by £497,014, and frozen meat by £44,752 in value, while the actual expenditure on road works in the province had been £2,166,000. Hawera Catholic Club will hold a euchre party to-night.
