All the State Premiers regard the proposal of the Commonwealth Savings Bank with alarm, fearing that it will practically abolish State banks, which are a good source of revenue. In the House of Representatives the Bank Bill was taken in Committee. Mr'Fisher agreed to keep the moneys of the general bank and the savings bank separate.
