DIVORCE COURT.

AN UNUSUAL CASE. BY TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Nov. 1. An unusual case, the first of its kind ever heard in New Zealand came before Mr Justice Cooper 'in the Divorce Court to-day An application was made by William JfrJobson that a decree nisi, granted him against Edith Lilian Jobson for adultery, be made absolute. ' The Solicitor-General intervened for a reversal of the decree nisi on the ground that petitioner had since condoned his wife's misconduct as he had resumed cohabitation since the decree was granted. Collusion was not alleged. There were three children by the marriage but before the first was born the parties had agreed not to live together. ' That agreement still existed. The .Judge said this was a sad case, and it was lamentable that a woman should be under the domination of such a man. It was the most singular case in the Judge's experience in the Divorce Court. Judgment was reserved till Friday.
