(Before Mr A. Tuv,nbull, S.M.) R. Milne (Mr SellaT) pleaded guilty to a charge of refusing to quit the Empire Hotel on March" 20," when ordered to do so.. The defending counsel pointed out that Milne was not charged with drunkenness. He had made a mistake in not leaving the hotel in question when requested to do so. He was a law abiding citizen, and was never mixed up in any drunken brawJs. Fined £1 and 9s costs.

The Department of Agriculture (Mr Deem.) prbceededagainst A. C. Pearce (Mr Welsh) for failing to eradicate ragwort from his section at Ptko Piko. The evidence given on behalf of the prosecution was 'to the effect tfcat no action had been taken on, the part of the owner to rid his place of the weed, although he had been notified to do so.
