The foundation stone of the residential college of the Presbyterian Church was laid by , Mrs John, Ross, at, Nevalley today .before a large and representative gathering .o f spectators. *tn r ajd .addxess the Rev. Mr John' Ross had been the real founder of thej college by reason of Mb princely gift' ofi £10,000. Altogether, the donations, with interest, amounted to £25,760. - The result would not only enable them^ to open tthe college free of debt, " but also to do something m the way of fuVnishing it. It had been said that many ministers liad { a full knowl|edge of books but little of men, and life in this college would give them the latter experience.
