SUDDEN DEATH.
WELLINGTON, April 6. Alexander Ferris, 60 years of. age, died suddenly of heart disease at six o'clock this morning. AMALGAMATED SOCIETY O*F RAILWAY SERVANTS. DANNEVIRKE, April 6. A meeting of the local members of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants 4-esolved: (1) Regretting the removal of the Railway Review from the control of Mr Hornsby, M.P., and placing on record the valuable services rendered the society by Mr Hornsby; (2) "that in removing the review from the control of Mr Hornsby the majority of the members at the late conference did not act in the best interests of the society. At the Woodville meeting the railway mien passed similar resolutions, also pledging themselves to stand by the six "members of the conference in minority.
