GILLIES AND NALDER.
Gillies and Nalder report that *»t their Okaiawa sale on Monday, the 2nd, there was a large attendance and good yarding. Bidding was good, and everything was sold except a line of two-year steers and a pen of fat cows. Pat cows £5 12s, £5 ss, £5 2s 6d, £5 ti £4, forward cows £2 5s to £3 10s, 20-months steers £3 Is, £3 7s 6d, yearling heifers 255.
At Hawera on Thursday, sth Decomber, there was a fair yarding. 450 woolly hoggets 19s 6d and 19s 4d, fat cows £4 5s to £4 12s 6d, store cows 555, 2-year steers £3 8s to £3 Us, empty heifers £1 8s 6d, 355, 455. They turned out unsold over 200 2-year 1 o 2*-year steers, vendors not feeling disposed to accept prices offered.
