ODDFELLOWS' SPORTS
The sports promoted this year oy tli <i Oddfellows in Kaponga were to have heen held on the King's Birthcay, btit r owing to the very unfavorable wesither, the meeting had to be put off. Yesterday was selected for the pestponed gathering, and excellent weather was obtained. There was a very fair attendance, the gross gate takings amounting to nearly £20. The nominations were very large, and it was anticipated tbnt the entrance moneys would pay the prizes, which, ■were/ allotted on a liberal scale. The programme was varied and interesting.
