£1,200,000 DIVIDEND.
The directare of the Imperial Tobaoco Company, Limited, xecommended a dividend of 10 par cent, free of income-tax, on the deferred ordinary ehare6 for the year to October 31 last, placing £250,000 to general reserve, out carrying forward
. £179,000. This means that the great tobacco combine will pay in dividends • and interest on its capital of more than I £17,000,000 considerably over £1,200,000. Last year eight per cent was paid on the deferred ordinary shares, the dividend having steadily increased from 1902-3, when 4 per cent was paid.
