The Times states that public opinion in Japan is becoming quieter, and it is not believed that the San Francisco difficulty will he sufficient to disturb tlhe traditional friendship witih. the United States.
Japan's foreign trade in 1906 amounted to eighty-four million pouads, and t&e exports exceeded the imports. ,
