LONDON PKODUCE MARKETS.

The High Commissionerj London, under date July 7 reports :—: —

The butter market is very firm. New Zealand stocks aire almost exhausted. There is a great demand .in the market for New Zealand butter at 106s per cwt. There axe, however, no stocks in icold store available. Danish is quoted at Ills Siberian at 965, and, Irish at 10<te per cwt. Butter prospects for next season are encouraging.

The cheese market is very firm, and there is a general and active demand. White makes airo selling at 635, and colored' at 60s per cwt.

There is no change in the mutton market to report ©inoe last week.

The lamb market is very firm, and the market is advancing owing to strong demand. The average price for Canterbury brands fa s£<i[, and other t"han Canterbury brands 4|d per Ib. It is reported that the provincial demand is falling-oil owing to the higher prices ruling. The beef market is vary dull, and the supply exceeds the demand. The weather has been unfavorable to t/he sale. The average prices are 3^d and 2£d per lb. for •bind and foxequaTters respectively.
