NORMANBY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

The attention of the public "is drawn to the advertisement of the above Society's ooncert to be held on Wednesday next, 11th instant, in aid of the Society's funds It is now some years since this Society has held an entertainment other than the annual ooncert on show night, and as the present concert is in aid of the funds to help reduce the overdraft which now exists, we. feel as&irred the public -will rally up and liberally support the committee's efforts on the present occasion. The support appears the more deserving when it ii remembered that tflie work done by the Ncrmanby Horticultural Society extending ever a number of years has been not only for the benefit of this district in particular but for the colony in general We are informed by the Ooncert Committee that a first-class programme will be submitted by leading lady and gentlemen amateurs in the district. After- the concert a dance will be held, when both floor and music will bo all tihat can be desired by devotees of dancing.
