EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.
CHRISTCHURCH, July 9.
During the 10th week of t)he New Zealand Utility Poultry Club egg-laying competition, 625 eggs were laid, making a total to date of 4959. The best totals for the week were: J. Asbton (Silver Wyondottes) 23, J. J. Jackman (Silver Wyandottes) 20, W. Macßirae Peacock (White Wyandottes) 19, M. Blanch (Silver Wyandottee) 19. The xaghest totals to da^a are: M. Blanch (Silver Wyandottes) 141, D. M. Peek (Black Orpingtons.) 137, H. Pamnell (Buff Leghorns) 132.
