TRIAL OF NAVAL OFFICERS.
SCAPEGOATS FOR RUSSIAN PRESTIGE.

ST. PETERSBURG, July 9.
In connection with the trial of Admiral Rozhdesvensky and all the officers of the Eiedovy, the Naval Prosecutor declared that the surrender of the destroyer was a disgrace unparalleled in history. He first stigmatised the accused as traitors, and demanded the death penalty. Counsel for the defence declared that the accused were only scapegoats of the unfortunate war, and. claimed acquittal.
