[PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, April 23. A tug was sent as far as Cape Campbell to-day in search of the scow or schooner reported to be floating bottom up on Sunday. The search was fruitless.
EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 23. The statement for the fifty-first week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club'e egg-laying competition at Lincoln College shows that 114 eggs were laid during the week, making . a (total to .date of 30,077. The following were the best total® for the week : H. H. Hawke's Silver Wrvattdottes 15, P. Presante' Silver Wyandottes 11. The totals to date are: H. Hawke, SUvear Wyandattes, 1264; J. H. Shaw, Brown Leghorns, 1002; R. E. W. Evane, Silver Wyandotte, 986.
