A CELEBRATED COMEDIAN. r Mir R. G. Knowles mil appear at> the Opera House on Tuesday night next. This celebrated entertainer, who is touring New Zealand, under Mr J. C. Williamson's management, is said to have departed from the ways, of the orthodox humorist, and introduces his hearers in a, new and novel manner to songs and stories of the stage, providing an evening of rare pleasure and enjoyment. For two hours the audience is shown the funny side of life in many of the world centres. His quaint, brisk, breezy method oi relating the in.ciden.t6 of the journey is said to keep the house in roars of laughter. He describes life, people, and circumstances, and altogether, by his own natural personality, creates an ' atmosphere of profound enjoyment and merriment. The entertainmentj although of a monologue nature, is eaid to be one j of the most- delightful performed for years, j Tivallingsthe late Mel. B. Spurr, and brilJiantJy equal to the best efforts of some of the world's greatest entertainers across the seas. Mr R. G. Knowles not only relates, but dances and sings in a manner indescribable,, which, in fact, has earned him the most colossal salary ever paid to an artist in either England or America. Assisted by Mrs Knowles, a brilliant banjoist, and special biograph pictures, incidental to many of the experiences he relates, the entire entertainment promises to be an unusually enjoyable one.
