A meeting of the Athenaeum Sports Committee was hold to-night in the hall to-night to make final arrangements; present — Messrs Gapper (Chairman), Frethey, Cowern, Emson, Adlam, J. Kins;, Betts, Hatheson (Secretary). The Chairman reported that he had arranged with the band to play at the sports at £5 for the day, and had also arranged with Mr Oliver to run the refreshment booth. Various officers were appointed, and it was resolved that horses should not be disqualified for three breaks, but that horses that are deliberately tdlowod to break and continue be disqualified. It was decided that pony trot standard be altered to 14.2.
