BUTTER BOX COMPANY.
A general meeting of the Egmont BoxCompany, Ltd., was held on Tuesday. The directors' report gave particulars of the recent conversion of the company into a larger affair. The old directors, viz., Messrs B. Dive, J. Marx, R. Dingle, J. Burgess, T. L. Joll, J. Campbell, and Morton were re-elected. As to the Chairman's remuneraJtaon Mr Dingle moved that a sum of £25 be allowed. Their chairman had his heart in the success of the company .and had rendered it signal service. Mr Spratt seconded the motion, Avhich was carried. The Chairman, in thanking the shareholders, mentioned that if the directors' efforts were successful in a certain direction, they would be able to effect- a saving of £700 or Jt!800 a year in- the manufacture of boxes. The directors would also consider the question of lowering- the price of boxes. The meeting then ended.
