MR MAJOR AT OAONUI.

Mr C. X Major addressed the largest political meeting ever held at Oaonui on. Saturday evening. The audience frequently applauded the speaker. The address was most temperate throughout. Many sound arguments were advanced by Mm io prove the Government nad dgpe a deal for the farmers and was still doing much. Mr Major spoke- for an hour and a half, and gave a straightforward account of his actions in Parliament and of political questions. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried unanimously. i
