There were two meetings of creditors on Friday in bankruptcy, one re Valentine Harrison, of Oaonui, farmer, and the other A. Peat, of Opunake, blacksmith. An entertainment was given by the State school children on Friday evening, and was very well attended. The children rendered songs and recitations in a most creditable manner. The second part of the programme was the drama, "The Area Belle/ in which the Misses London, and Messrs Maginness, Armstrong, and Northrop took part, and made quite a hit. The School Committee's funds benefited by nearly £7.
