HAWERA BOROUGH BAND.
A meeting of the committee of the Hawera Band was held on Thursday even" m « »_~ Council room to appoint a bandmaster vice Mr McConnell, who haa New Plymouth band. He was for four yean bandmaster and cornetist of the Oamaru Garriwn Band during its best years, and also formed and taught the Bluff Navals with whom he has been eleven yean. Mr Mr Jas. Campbell, secretary of the band has received word from Mr Slater that he 15 leaving the Bluff to-night, and will anne m Kawfg^Monday. .
