There was a. hig attendance at the opening q{ the Stratford green on Wednesday, but the day was rather cold, although tho sky was clear. Many ladies were present. Hawera had a representation of five and Eltham of seven members. The President (Mr G. Curtis) and the vice-presi-dent (Mr R.
