[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] r f (Received October 3, 9.49 p.m.) LONDON, September 3. The Archbishop of Canterbury, in a message to the electors of the Isle of Thanet Division of Kent, urged them to place the purity of Parliamentary life and the personal fitness of candidates before political considerations. A majority of the clergy, and even the Rabbi of the important Hebrew community at Rsmsgate, oppose the candidature of Mr H. L. Marks, editor of the Flnan- - cial News, the objection being to Mr Marks' record in the Law Courts in connection with the Hooley and WhitAker Wright cases.
