HAND-TO-HAND FIGHTING.
(Received September 27, 0.26 a.m.) LONDON, September 26. On the night of the 20th the Japanese captured a fort west of Italian, after frantic efforts, the troops being exposed to the fire of machine guns. Desperate hand-to-hand fighting took place' inside the fort, most of the garrison being killed.
