KLTHAM BACON FACTORY. A meeting ol the shareholder, of the Elthwn -Bacon Company waa held here c? sSuiday, there being a large number prewnt. The meeting had ong nMy been called to conform certain resoluSonaTmed at the last annual meeting which wat held recently. The dacosaion, however, turned . principally to the DMition which the company would now be fn on account of the fire. The Rectors produced a ttatement ihowing that if the company w«re wound up a nominal credit balance' ol Mine £700 would remain. After a good deal of disoussion th« motion was carried. » ' Several present considered that tHe old ■hares ihould either be written off entirely or ihould at least be well written down, and that the whole concern should b« reoonitructed. It was decided that the question should be discussed again as due notice would have to be given before any rooh alterations could be made and special meetings would have to be called to consider them. ... . „j Several of the principal shareholders announced that they would be willing to foTego all' old sha/es. Applications for new iham to the extent of nearly £1000 ' ware made in the room before the meetins dosed. Local influential men will probably assist in the canvass for further aharehbfders.
