LANDSLIPS NEAR TAIHAPE.
TRAIN AND COACH TRAFFIC STOPPED. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TAIHAPE, September 24. The recent heavy rains have caused a number of landslips. A serious one occurred near Mangaweka viaduct on Wed- ' nesday night, extending hundreds of yards, and completely burying the railway and stopping all trains. Taihape is now cut off. There were heavy slips on the . road between Taihape and Mangaweka. and coach traffic is at a standstill. The Moawhango road is blocked. Large gangs of men are busy clearing the landslips ( , away.
