This in- ? crease has fortunately 'not been going' ph. at the same time as the increases from the Continent, which on the whole havo beefc f slightly less than in 1903, when the totat import from foreign countries was 1,102,- ' 858 cwt, as compared with 1904—1,060,- ' 091cwt, giving a gross import from all ' sources for four months of 1,285,899cwt ifa ' 1903, and 1,506,239cwt in 1 1904.
