' r-f~ * ■ ' The concert which is to be given by the. Vartha-Lahtoan Rongiuia Concert Company to morrow evening promises to be more than ordinarily enjoyable. The programme,- apart' from the attractiveness which is connected with the appearance of Rangluia-r-contains several vocal, and instrumental gem;. Acontemporary referring to a recent performance says : — 11 The. programme was of a light-class and enjoyable character., tbe vocal and instrumental numbers being rendered in' a truly artistic manner. Considerable -interest was centred in the re-appearane* of - that oultured vocalist, Chieftain Rangiuia. He "was in capital voioe, and delighted bis audience with his seleotione. Miss Cecile Stephano, the noted ( American contralto, acquitted herself admirably. Herr Lab.matin, the accomplished violinist^ proved 1 himself a musician of the first water, manipulating his potential instrument with the easy effectiveness of the born artist. He is also a .vocalist of no mean order. Miss Beatrice Vartha played the accompaniments and several solos with unexceptionable finish and precision."
