Whilst harvesting yesterday afternoon, a youth named Jesse Butler met with what might have proved to have been a serious accident. In sliding from tbe top of a haystack be landid on the top of the handle of a pitch fork whioh had beep stuck into the ground, causing, a nasty wound in lihe groin, which necessitated, foUr stitches btjng put in. Farmers on the Plains are beginning to complain that ihey oaaaot get thfeir Bay and crops in owing to the unsettled state of the weather. Farming affairs altogether ate in a backward condition. '
