The Hawera Club sent a team to Fatea on Saturday afternoon, and had the satisfaction of winning. The terrors of the dreacTed " matting" pitch were overcome, and the visitors bad a very enjoyable game and outing, and were treated with the usual Patean generous hospitality. The Pateanß bitted first, and wt-ro disposed of for the small total of 52 As usual, Pratt and Glasgow went in first on behalf of Hawera. The fount r played a vigorous game; bis score of 44 included a clean hit for 5. Glasgow was dismissed for a duck's egg wi.h the first ball. Goodson was foo iehly run cut after playing a steady game for 15. Stumps were drawn af. a quarter to six with the score at 77 for 4 wickets.
