(>KR PRESS ASSOCIATION.) MELBOURNE, Dt cember 12. Tho body of a young butcher named Robert Warburton was found in a Park, shot thiough the head. A revolver lay by his side. The case is one of suicide. It is believed that deceased's parents reside in Auckland. WAI HI, December 13. The Maori chief Matorua was burned to death last night in a whare at Wai* harakbki. He is reported to be a centenarian. DUNEDIN, December 14. Litu'enßnt Kirkham, of the City Rifles sustained injuries in St. Olair baths today which it is feared will prove fatal. He took a dive, and as he did not rise others dragged him aehore, when it was found he had sustained serious injury to the skull either by striking the bottom or on a ledgo of rock. He is the son of sn Anglican clergyman who was some years ago stationed at -Roslyn. DUNEDIN, December 15. ' Lieu'enant Kirkbam died at tbe hospital last night.
