OBITUARY.
MR. THOMAS SCOTT.
We regret having to record the death of Mr Thomas Scott, a well known farmer in this district. Mr Scott caught a severe cold some week or two ago, which gradually developed into inflammation of the lungs, and proved fatal on Monday. A widow and several children are left, who will have the sincere sympathy of friends and neighbours. Mr Scott was one of the earliest settlers on the Plains, having at one of the original sales bought land just on the western side of the Waingongoro. The funeral will leave Inaha for Manaia cemetery to-morrow, at 1.80.
