FREEMAN R. JACKSON AND CO.'S REPORT.

Johnsonville, February 26.

Messrs Freeman li. Jackson and Co., in conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williamß, report as to their sale as follows: — At Johnsonville, to-day, we had an entry of 80 bullocks, mostly of inferior quality, a number of pens being only good forward stores, no prime beef being yarded. There was a good demand, and best bullocks made from L 7 17s 6d to L 8 os ; others, L 7 10s to L 7 15s ; lighter Borts, Ul to L 7 7s 6d, averaging about 21s per 1001b. A larger entry of sheep than usual met a good demand, and sold at slightly better prices than la3t week. Good ewes made lls Id to lls sd ; medium ewes, 93 7d to 10a ; others, 9s to 9s 5d ; wethers, lls 6d to lls 8d ; lambs, 8s 2d to 9s 6d ; forward lambs, 6s 5d to 7s lls.

Travelling along the Junction Road, near Inglewood, on Saturday, a representative of the Stratford Settler saw disastrous proof of the ravages of the ragwort. In some oases it had practically stifled all other vegetation.
